Regular Season Round 7: BA CoE - Bendigo LB 85-75

The game between closely ranked teams ended with leader BA CoE's (4-0) home victory over 4th placed Lady Braves (3-3) 85-75 on Sunday. BA CoE dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Lady Braves' 30. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when BA CoE made 7 blocks. It was a very good performance for swingman Eziyoda Magbegor (176-99) who helped to win the game recording 13 points and 9 rebounds. Abby Cubillo contributed with 11 points and 5 assists for the winners. Four BA CoE players scored in double figures. BA CoE's coach used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Forward Keely Froling (188-96, college: SMU) answered with a double-double by scoring 28 points, 15 rebounds and 6 blocks and international guard Kelly Wilson (170-84) added 19 points and 4 steals in the effort for Lady Braves. BA CoE moved-up to second place in League. Loser Lady Braves keep the fourth position with three games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
