Regular Season Round 7: S.Peninsula S. - Waverley F. 54-63

The game had a very big importance for sixth-ranked Falcons as it allowed them to take a leadership position in Leagues. Falcons defeated 5th ranked Sharks on the road 63-54. They outrebounded Sharks 45-27 including a 31-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great evening for forward Tegan Cunningham (185-88, college: Oklahoma St.) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds. Forward Kate Oliver (193-91, college: USC) helped adding 14 points, 14 rebounds and 4 blocks. Falcons' coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the losing side Eliza West responded with 17 points and 8 rebounds and American point guard Brittany Carter (183-93, college: Illinois) scored 14 points and 8 rebounds. As mentioned above they took over a top position. Sharks will play next round against Whittlesea trying to get back on the winning streak. Falcons will try to continue on its current victory against first ranked Knox Raiders at Wantirna South.
