Quarter-Finals Round 3: Kapfenberg - Wels 70-92

Date: May 1, 2016
Wels shot down Kapfenberg on the road and swept the series. The guests trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 1-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 92-70. The best player for the winners was American forward Will Carter (200-88, college: San Jose St., agency: HMS) who scored 22 points and 9 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). His fellow American import guard Devante Wallace (196-92, college: High Point) chipped in 19 points and 6 assists. Five Raiffeisen Wels players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international forward Joe Dean Shaw (199-87, college: Nevada, agency: Octagon Europe) who recorded 21 points and 7 rebounds and American power forward Carl Baptiste (206-90, college: Delaware) added 21 points and 6 rebounds respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
