Regular Season Round 8: Knox R. - Ringwood H. 92-77

Rather predictable result in Wantirna South where top-ranked Knox Raiders (6-0) beat 6th ranked Ringwood Hawks (4-4) 92-77 on Sunday. It was a great shooting night for Knox Raiders especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.4 percentage. The best player for the winners was American guard Mike Rose (193-87, college: E.Kentucky) who scored 27 points. Adrian Tomada chipped in 19 points and 4 steals. Forward Matthew Fennell produced a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds and center Trevor Latham (203) added 14 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the guests. Ringwood Hawks' coach rotated eleven players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Knox Raiders maintains third position in League with 6-0 record having six points less than leader Cockburn C. Loser Ringwood Hawks keep the sixth place with four games lost. Knox Raiders will face Waverley Falcons (#4) in Mount Waverley in the next round. Ringwood Hawks will play at home against Eltham Wildcats and hope to win that game.
