Regular Season Round 31: Hapoel Holon - Ironi Nes-Ziona 89-72

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 11th ranked Ironi Nes-Ziona's (10-21) road loss to tenth ranked Hapoel Holon (12-19) 72-89. The game was mostly controlled by Hapoel Holon. Ironi Nes-Ziona was better in fourth quarter 22-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Hapoel Holon players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Scottie Reynolds (188-87, college: Villanova) who helped to win the game recording 22 points, 6 rebounds, 9 assists and 4 steals. Guard Shlomi Harush (185-87) contributed with 15 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Five Hapoel Holon players scored in double figures. American forward Mitchell Watt (208-89, college: Buffalo) answered with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 16 rebounds and the other American import guard Sundiata Gaines (185-86, college: Georgia) added 11 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for Ironi Nes-Ziona. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Hapoel Holon moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Maccabi Ashdod. Ironi Nes-Ziona lost their third game in a row. They keep the eleventh position with 21 games lost. Hapoel Holon's next round opponent will be league's leader Hapoel Jerusalem on the road and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Ironi Nes-Ziona will play against Maccabi Ashdod (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
