Regular Season Round 28: L'Hospitalet - Cornella 73-67

Very predictable result when first ranked L'Hospitalet (17-2) won against at home 10th ranked Cornella (2-17) 73-67 on Tuesday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Cornella won third quarter 19-17. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Quite impressive performance for forward Alex Reina (192-89) who helped to win the game recording 20 points. Dominican power forward Jose Cabrera (206-84) contributed with 13 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Forward Nacho Marin (201-93) replied with 21 points and point guard Bernat Alvarez (176-95) added 8 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Cornella. Cornella's coach Jordi Marti rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. L'Hospitalet maintains first position in Group C Titulo with 17-2 record. Loser Cornella keeps the tenth place with 17 games lost. L'Hospitalet will face Mollet (#5) in the next round. Cornella will play against Castelldefels (#6) and hope to win that game.
