Quarter-Finals Round 3: Neptunas - Siauliai 90-85

Neptunas held off Siauliai to gain 2-1 lead in the quarterfinal series. The hosts were ahead by 3 points but lost the second period ending it with a 6-point deficit before their 28-17 run, which allowed them to win the game. Neptunas made 27-of-29 charity shots (93.1 percent) during the game. Siauliai was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for American Daniel Ewing (191-83, college: Duke) who led his team to a victory scoring 22 points. International guard Mindaugas Girdziunas (188-89) helped adding 17 points and 4 assists (went 10 for 10 at the free throw line !!!). Neptunas' coach Dainius Adomaitis allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. The best for the losing side was Egyptian forward Assem Marei (206-92, college: Minn.St.-Mankato) with 19 points and 6 rebounds and international Rokas Giedraitis (198-92) scored 19 points.
