Regular Season Round 31: Lille - Vichy Clermont 71-76

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both eighth ranked JA Vichy and 9th ranked Lille Metropole had identical 15-15 record. But Lille Metropole was not able to use a home court advantage and lost to the opponent from Vichy 76-71 on Tuesday night. Lille Metropole was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. It was a great evening for power forward Charles-Henri Bronchard (200-82, agency: Court Side) who led his team to a victory scoring 20 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. Naturalized Cameroonian power forward Victor Samnick (203-79, college: Georgetown) helped adding 22 points and 8 rebounds. At the losing side American point guard Tajuan Porter (170-88, college: Oregon) responded with 20 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and the other American import guard Kelsey Barlow (196-91, college: Ill.-Chicago, agency: Interperformances) scored 13 points and 5 rebounds. JA Vichy have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Nantes and Poitiers. Loser Lille Metropole dropped to the eleventh position with 16 games lost. JA Vichy will face SO Maritime Boulogne (#12) in Boulogne-sur-Mer in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Lille Metropole will play at home against the league's second-placed ALM Evreux having rather not much hope for a victory.
