The game in Fos-sur-Mer was also quite interesting. 5th ranked Boulazac Basket (17-14) played at the court of sixth ranked Provence Basket (18-13). Provence Basket managed to secure a 9-point victory 90-81 on Tuesday. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Boulazac Basket. The game without a history. Provence Basket led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. American-Nigerian Derrick Obasohan (203-81, college: Texas Arlington, agency: Beo Basket) fired 19 points for the winners. American swingman Aaron Broussard (195-90, college: Seattle, agency: Stealth Sport) chipped in 20 points. American power forward Franklin Hassell (203-88, college: ODU, agency: Inception Sports) produced 27 points and 8 rebounds (made all of his ten free throws !!!) and the other American import point guard Tweety Carter (180-86, college: Baylor) added 13 points and 6 assists respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Provence Basket moved-up to third place, which they share with Bourg and Le Portel. Loser Boulazac Basket dropped to the sixth position with 14 games lost. Provence Basket will meet at home bottom-ranked Orchesien BC (#18) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Boulazac Basket will play against Chorale de Roanne (#15) and hope to secure a win.
