Regular Season Round 31: Bourg - Poitiers 79-85

The game between third ranked JL Bourg (18-13) and tenth ranked Poitiers (16-15) was the most important one in the last round on Tuesday night. JL Bourg was defeated by Poitiers in a tough game in Bourg 79-85. The guests were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. At the losing side American center Zachery Peacock (203-87, college: Georgia Tech) responded with 18 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and the former international point guard Marc-Antoine Pellin (169-87) produced a double-double by scoring 11 points, 10 assists and 5 steals. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. JL Bourg's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Poitiers moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Nantes and Vichy Clermont. JL Bourg at the other side keeps the third position with 13 games lost. They share it with Provence Basket and Le Portel. Poitiers is looking forward to face Nantes (#7) at home in the next round. JL Bourg will play against Charleville-Mezieres (#13) and is hoping to win this game.
