The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Armani Milano (22-8) in Sassari on Wednesday night. Visitors were edged by eighth ranked Banco di Srd (16-14) 83-80. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Armani Milano. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Armani Milano won third quarter 22-14. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Banco di Srd made 24-of-25 free shots (96.0 percent) during the game. 28 personal fouls committed by Armani Milano helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Four Armani Milano players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Defending champion moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Giorgo Tesi PT and Umana VE. Armani Milano at the other side still keeps top position with eight games lost.
