Rather expected game when 9th ranked Fuerza Guinda Nogales (9-17) were defeated on the road by seventh ranked Tijuana Zonkeys (13-15) 82-77 on Wednesday. Tijuana Zonkeys made 16-of-19 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game. The game was dominated by American players. The best player for the winners was guard Trayvon Lathan (201-84, college: Chowan) who scored 20 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Swingman Dwayne Mitchell (196-82, college: La-Lafayette) chipped in 19 points. Lathan is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Five Tijuana Zonkeys players scored in double figures.
