Illibaum shot down Benfica B on the road in the opener. The game was mostly controlled by Illiabum. Benfica B was better in third quarter 20-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 24-of-29 charity shots (82.8 percent) during the game. Illiabum forced 24 Benfica B turnovers. Benfica B was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Power forward Rafael Wildner (207-92) nailed 19 points and 9 rebounds for the winning side and American swingman Robert Crawford (201, college: Cent.Arkansas) accounted for 11 points and 9 rebounds. Slovenian guard Aljaz Slutej (188-96) came up with 11 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and swingman Sergio Silva (193-96) added 12 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Benfica B in the defeat. Four Benfica B players scored in double figures. Benfica B's coach Joao Tavares rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help.
