Regular Season Round 33: Le Mans - Nancy 81-64

Not a big story in a game when 16th ranked Sluc Nancy (9-24) lost on the road to third ranked Le Mans (22-11) 81-64. The game was mostly controlled by Le Mans. Sluc Nancy was better in fourth quarter 21-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Sluc Nancy 45-34 including 33 on the defensive glass. Le Mans players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. The best player for the winners was power forward Petr Cornelie (211-95, agency: Comsport) who had a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds. American point guard Tywain McKee (188-86, college: Coppin St.) chipped in 10 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Le Mans' coach Erman Kunter used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Andy Panko (203-77, college: Lebanon Valley, agency: Beo Basket) who recorded 19 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and point guard Benjamin Sene (186-94, agency: Comsport) added 13 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists respectively. Five Le Mans and four Sluc Nancy players scored in double figures. Le Mans maintains third place with 22-11 record having four points less than leader Monaco. Sluc Nancy lost their sixth game in a row. They keep the sixteenth position with 24 games lost. Le Mans' next round opponent will be Paris-Levallois (#14) on the road which should be an easy win for them. Sluc Nancy will play against JSF Nanterre and hope to win that game.
