The game between closely ranked teams ended with eighth ranked Pioneros Los Mochis' (13-15) road victory over 9th ranked Fuerza Guinda Nogales (10-18) 87-82 on Saturday. The game was dominated by American players. Quite impressive performance for forward Travis Franklin (200-88, college: Colorado St.) who helped to win the game recording 36 points (!!!). Leon Gibson (206-91, college: Houston) contributed with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 18 rebounds for the winners. Power forward Willie Readus (201-92, college: Delta St.) answered with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 13 rebounds and forward Rodney Alexander (201-87, college: Oklahoma City) added 19 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for Fuerza Guinda Nogales. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Pioneros Los Mochis moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Agua Prieta. Loser Fuerza Guinda Nogales keep the ninth position with 18 games lost. Pioneros Los Mochis will have a break next round. Fuerza Guinda Nogales will play at home against Garra Canera de Navolato (#11) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
