Regular Season Round 32: Provence Basket - Orchies 64-62

There was no surprise in Fos-sur-Mer where 18th ranked Orchesien BC (8-24) was edged by third ranked Provence Basket (19-13) 64-62 on Saturday. However just two-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The hosts trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 30-27 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. The best player for the winners was American-Nigerian Derrick Obasohan (203-81, college: Texas Arlington, agency: Beo Basket) who scored 14 points and 5 rebounds. The former international power forward Luc-Arthur Vebobe (202-80, college: Hawaii, agency: Comsport) chipped in 10 points and 7 rebounds. Four Provence Basket players scored in double figures. Guard Pierric Poupet (191-84) produced 14 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and American swingman Anthony Smith (195-86, college: Liberty) added 19 points respectively for the guests. Provence Basket maintains third position with 19-13 record having six points less than leader Hyeres-Toulon, which they share with Bourg. Loser Orchesien BC stay dead last with 24 lost games. Provence Basket will face league's second-placed ALM Evreux on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Orchesien BC will play against the league's leader Hyeres-Toulon (#1) and hope to win that game.
