Regular Season Round 31: Andorra - Laboral Kutxa 91-99

Date: May 8, 2016
Not a big story in a game when 11th ranked Andorra (12-19) was defeated at home by fourth ranked Laboral Kutxa (23-9) 99-91 on Sunday. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Laboral Kutxa made 7 blocks. It was a great evening for American point guard Darius Adams (188-89, college: Indianapolis, agency: Stealth Sport) who led his team to a victory scoring 25 points and 4 assists. Hungarian Adam Hanga (199-89) helped adding 16 points and 5 rebounds. At the losing side Georgian center Giorgi Shermadini (216-89) responded with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 11 rebounds (made all of his nine free throws !!!) and FYR Macedonian guard Vojdan Stojanovski (194-87, agency: Beo Basket) scored 15 points and 7 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for Laboral Kutxa. They maintain fourth place with 23-9 record. Loser Andorra dropped to the twelfth position with 19 games lost. Laboral Kutxa will have a break next round. Andorra will play on the road against Sevilla (#11) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
