The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of top-ranked FC Barcelona (27-4) on the court of third ranked Valencia Basket on Sunday night. Visitors were defeated by Valencia Basket 75-65. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of FC Barcelona. It may be a crucial game in the contest for the top position in the league. The game was mostly controlled by Valencia Basket. FC Barcelona managed to win third quarter 17-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Valencia Basket (26-5) moved-up to second place, which they share with Real Madrid. FC Barcelona at the other side still keeps top position with four games lost. Valencia Basket is looking forward to face CAI Zaragoza (#14) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. FC Barcelona will play against Gran Canaria (#5) and is hoping to win this game.
