We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when eighth ranked Salt (8-10) defeated at home 7th ranked Igualada (8-12) 72-68 on Sunday. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Igualada won third quarter 22-19. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Salt won last quarter 19-17. Igualada was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Point guard Xavier Torrent (176-90) orchestrated the victory by scoring 27 points. Forward Genis Bover (201-91) contributed with 15 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Salt's coach Eric Suris let to play all 12 players in such tough game. Center Eduard Tejero (195-92) answered with 15 points and 8 rebounds and forward Albert Del Hoyo (192-92) added 11 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Igualada. Four Igualada players scored in double figures. Salt moved-up to sixth place in Group C Titulo, which they share with Castelldefels. Newly promoted Igualada dropped to the eighth position with 12 games lost.
