No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Estela (17-7) beat on the road 10th ranked Mondragon (10-14) 80-73 on Sunday. Mondragon trailed by 12 points after 3 quarters before a 26-21 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 73-80 at the end of the game. American forward Spenser Mitchell (203-92, college: St.Leo) orchestrated the victory by scoring 21 points and 9 rebounds. Swingman Jaime Garcia (194-87) contributed with 18 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals for the winners. Guard Iker Barbero (192-92) answered with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 15 rebounds and point guard Imanol Ceciaga (186-90) added 8 points and 9 assists in the effort for Mondragon. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Mondragon's coach tested eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Estela moved-up to third place in Group A-A, which they share with Pielagos. Loser Mondragon keeps the tenth position with 14 games lost.
