Eighteenth-ranked Gipuzkoa (5-26) gave a tough game to fourteenth ranked FIATC Joventut (12-20) in Badalona on Sunday. FIATC Joventut managed to secure only two-point victory 90-88. However their fans expected much easier game. The hosts trailed by 4 points after three quarters before their 24-18 charge, which allowed them to win the game. FIATC Joventut looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Gipuzkoa was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Five FIATC Joventut and four Gipuzkoa players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. FIATC Joventut moved-up to thirteenth place. Gipuzkoa lost their fifth game in a row. They stay dead last with 26 lost games. FIATC Joventut will have a break next round. Gipuzkoa will play at home against Unicaja Malaga (#6) and hope to win that game.
