Regular Season Round 32: Guasave - Agua Prieta 84-79

Very expected game when 8th ranked Vaqueros (13-17) were defeated on the road by fourth ranked Frayles de Guasave (18-12) 84-79 on Tuesday. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Frayles de Guasave made 16-of-20 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Frayles de Guasave outrebounded Vaqueros 43-28 including 32 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was American Kevin Rogers (206-86, college: Baylor) who had a double-double by scoring 29 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists. The other American import guard Jordan Williams (198, college: N.Texas) chipped in 22 points and 8 rebounds. Frayles de Guasave's coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. American forward Sammy Yeager (193-89, college: CS Fullerton) produced 28 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and Mathew Kemp added 11 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists respectively for the guests. Frayles de Guasave have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place. Vaqueros lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keep the eighth position with 17 games lost. Frayles de Guasave will again meet at home Vaqueros (#8) in the next round where they are favorite. Vaqueros will have a break next round.
