Regular Season Round 33: Guasave - Agua Prieta 100-85

Fourth ranked Frayles de Guasave (18-12) beat at home 8th ranked Vaqueros (13-17) by 15 points 100-85, which is the biggest margin this round on Wednesday night. Frayles de Guasave dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Vaqueros' 44. They outrebounded Vaqueros 44-24 including a 35-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. Frayles de Guasave looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Americans were the main players on the court also this time. The best player for the winners was swingman Tim Pickett (192-81, college: Florida St., agency: Interperformances) who had a double-double by scoring 24 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists. Kevin Rogers (206-86, college: Baylor) chipped in 27 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Frayles de Guasave's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Sammy Yeager (193-89, college: CS Fullerton) who recorded 33 points (!!!) and guard Steven Pledger (193-90, college: Oklahoma) added 18 points respectively. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Frayles de Guasave. They moved-up to third place. Vaqueros lost their third game in a row. Newly promoted team keep the eighth position with 17 games lost. Frayles de Guasave will meet Fuerza Guinda Nogales (#9) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Vaqueros will have a break next round.
