Neptunas fired past Lietovus Rytas to open 1-0 lead in the semifinal series. The guests trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 7-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 83-71. Neptunas made 20-of-22 free shots (90.9 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Martynas Mazeika (192-85, agency: Interperformances) who helped to win the game recording 16 points. American power forward Jerai Grant (203-89, college: Clemson) contributed with 15 points and 5 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws) for the winners. Four Neptunas players scored in double figures. The former international center Antanas Kavaliauskas (208-84, college: Texas A&M, agency: Interperformances) answered with 13 points and international Adas Juskevicius (194-89) added 9 points in the effort for Lietuvos rytas. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
