Tofas outgunned Afyon to secure the winning start of their playoff campaign. Tofas outrebounded Afyon 40-26 including 29 on the defensive glass. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 28 assists. Afyon was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Dominican-American guard Sammy Mejia (198-83, college: De Paul) stepped up and scored 26 points and 5 assists (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) for the winners and the former international point guard Baris Ermis (194-85) chipped in 13 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. Four Tofas players scored in double figures. Tofas' coach Orhun Ene felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side power forward Eren Ocakturk (204-87, agency: 1x1 Sports) responded with 22 points and 6 rebounds and American guard Marcus Hall (185-85, college: Colorado) scored 16 points.
