Everything went according to plan when third ranked NW Tasmania Thunder (6-3) outleveled on the road bottom-ranked BA CoE (0-7) 102-75 on Friday. The game without a history. NW Tasmania Thunder led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 78 of its points in the paint compared to BA CoE's 42. NW Tasmania Thunder forced 23 BA CoE turnovers. American forward Gary Johnson (198-88, college: Texas) fired 32 points and 6 rebounds (on 14-of-17 shooting from the field) for the winners. Guard Mason Bragg (184-93) chipped in 20 points and 7 assists (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). Lat Mayen Nai produced 19 points and 5 rebounds and Makuach Maluach added 19 points respectively for lost side. Five NW Tasmania Thunder and four BA CoE players scored in double figures. Despite that victory NW Tasmania Thunder went down to fourth position (League) due to points difference. Loser BA CoE still closes the standings with seven games lost. NW Tasmania Thunder will face Canberra Gunners (#7) in Belconnen in the next round.
