Regular Season Round 10: Rockingham F. - Joondalup Wolves 106-125

Very expected game in Rockingham where 8th ranked Flames (7-6) were rolled over by second ranked Wanneroo (8-2) 125-106 on Friday. The guests trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 11-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 125-106. Wanneroo shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 53.8 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Flames were plagued by 35 personal fouls down the stretch. American center Kevin Davis (206-91, college: Cent.Washington) fired 26 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Forward Greg Hire (201-87, college: Augusta) chipped in 26 points and 4 assists (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). Guard Matthew Honey (183-94) produced 31 points and American power forward Cooper Land (205-88, college: Wright St.) added 14 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists respectively for lost side. Five Wanneroo and four Flames players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Despite that victory Wanneroo went down to fourth position (League) due to points difference. Loser Flames dropped to the seventh place with six games lost. Wanneroo will face higher ranked Stirling S. (#3) in Perth in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Flames will play on the road against Slammers (#10) in Bunbury and hope to win that game.
