Regular Season Round 33: Evreux - Provence Basket 74-77

The most exciting game of round 33 in the ProB took place in Evreux. This derby game ended with only three-point home defeat of second-best ALM Evreux (20-13) to third ranked Provence Basket (20-13) 77-74 in the game for the second place. The guests trailed by 5 points at the halftime before their 19-8 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. Provence Basket looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a good game for American swingman Aaron Broussard (195-90, college: Seattle, agency: Stealth Sport) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds. Point guard Xavier Gaillou (192-89) contributed with 9 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. American swingman Drake Reed (194-87, college: Austin Peay St., agency: Inception Sports) answered with 20 points and 6 rebounds and Guillaume Costentin (196-82) added 20 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for ALM Evreux. Provence Basket have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Evreux and Bourg. Provence Basket is looking forward to face Charleville-Mezieres (#13) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. ALM Evreux will play against the league's leader Hyeres-Toulon (#1) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
