Very important is a road loss of third ranked Frayles de Guasave (18-13) against ninth ranked Fuerza Guinda Nogales (12-19) on Friday night. Visiting Frayles de Guasave was crushed by Fuerza Guinda Nogales in Nogales 109-87. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Frayles de Guasave. Fuerza Guinda Nogales shot 60.5 percent from the field. The game was dominated by American players. Power forward Willie Readus (201-92, college: Delta St.) had a double-double by scoring 23 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and swingman O'Louis McCullough (198-82, college: Francis Marion, agency: DTMones) chipped in 26 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Five Fuerza Guinda Nogales players scored in double figures. At the losing side guard Jordan Williams (198, college: N.Texas) responded with 34 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds and guard Jeremie Hart (188, college: McMurry) scored 18 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Fuerza Guinda Nogales maintains ninth position with 12-19 record. Loser Frayles de Guasave keeps the third place with 13 games lost. Fuerza Guinda Nogales will again meet at home higher ranked Frayles de Guasave (#3) in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
