CIBACOPA top team - Rayos de Hermosillo (24-8) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat sixth ranked Tijuana Zonkeys (15-17) 84-72. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Tijuana Zonkeys. The best player for the winners was American forward Emmanuel Little (196-85, college: N.Dakota) who scored 18 points and 9 rebounds. The former international point guard Steve Monreal (180-86, college: CS Monterey) chipped in 12 points and 5 assists. Little is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Rayos de Hermosillo players scored in double figures. Rayos de Hermosillo's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American swingman Dwayne Mitchell (196-82, college: La-Lafayette) produced 15 points and 8 rebounds and the former international power forward Arim Solares (202-83) added 13 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the guests.
