The game between closely ranked teams ended with 6th ranked Manly Warringah Sea Eagles' (2-4) road loss to fifth ranked Sharks (4-3) 69-73 on Saturday. Manly Warringah Sea Eagles were plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Danielle Pratt stepped up with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds for the winners and Clare Thomson-Boston chipped in 17 points and 11 rebounds. Five Sharks players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was swingman Rebecca Duke (183-87) with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 11 rebounds and guard Fiona Sparks (170, college: Columbia, MO) scored 22 points. Sharks maintains fifth place in League with 4-3 record. Loser Manly Warringah Sea Eagles dropped to the seventh position with four games lost. Sharks will face league's leader Hunters in Newcastle in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Manly Warringah Sea Eagles will play on the road against the league's second-placed Comets (#2) in Alexandria and hope to win that game.
