Everything went according to plan in Cairns where fifth ranked Dolphins (2-1) beat 11th ranked Capitals (1-4) 87-74 on Saturday. Forward Rachel Pryor (184-89) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds (perfect from the field making all six shots) for the winners and guard Myra Donkin (173-84) chipped in 20 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Five Dolphins players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was guard Amy Lewis (175-86, college: Troy) with 22 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists and Heidi Freeburn (-86) scored 23 points. Capitals' coach let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Dolphins maintains fifth place in League with 2-1 record. Loser Capitals dropped to the twelfth position with four games lost. Dolphins will face higher ranked Cyclones (#3) in Rockhampton in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
