Regular Season Round 28: Doxa Pefkon - Psyhiko 60-73

The game between closely ranked teams ended with tenth ranked Psyhiko's (12-14) road victory over 11th ranked Doxa Pefkon (10-17) 73-60. The game was mostly controlled by Psyhiko. Doxa Pefkon was better in fourth quarter 16-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a great shooting night for Psyhiko especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.6 percentage. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Thomas Nikou (185-80) who helped to win the game recording 12 points and 4 assists and forward Vasilis Angelakopoulos (203-79, agency: KBA Omnia Europe) who added 13 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side forward Dimitris Gravas (203-93) responded with 10 points and 7 rebounds and guard Pavlos Topalis (194-88) scored 7 points and 9 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Psyhiko moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Livadia. Newly promoted Doxa Pefkon keeps the eleventh position with 17 games lost. Psyhiko will play against Filippos Veroias (#14) at home in the next round where they are favorite. Doxa Pefkon will play against Doukas and hopes to get back on the winning track.
