Rather expected game in Mandurah where 11th ranked Magic (4-8) was rolled over by ninth ranked Redbacks (5-6) 124-103 on Saturday. Redbacks looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Magic was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. American-French guard Jourdan Demuynck (198-90, college: Prairie View A&M, agency: HMS) fired a double-double by scoring 25 points, 9 rebounds and 10 assists for the winners. Power forward Michael Vigor (206-90) chipped in a double-double by scoring 27 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Five Redbacks players scored in double figures. Power forward Benjamin Smith (204-88, college: Concordia Irvine) produced a double-double by scoring 30 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and American forward Taylor Mullenax (200-86, college: St.Edward's) added 20 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Redbacks maintains ninth position in League with 5-6 record. Loser Magic dropped to the twelfth place with eight games lost. Redbacks will face higher ranked Hawks (#6) in Floreat in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Magic will play on the road against Tigers (#5) in Willetton and hope to win that game.
