Regular Season Round 10: Bendigo B. - Canberra G. 76-81

There was a surprise result when sixth ranked Canberra Gunners (4-6) won against on the road top-ranked Bendigo Braves (7-2) 81-76 on Saturday. Swingman Tim Coenraad (201-85, college: Nova SE) fired 18 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Center Ben Allen (211-86, college: St.Mary's, CA) chipped in 18 points and 6 rebounds. Four Canberra Gunners players scored in double figures. American guard Jeremy Kendle (186-88, college: Bellarmine) produced 29 points and his fellow American import forward Damian Johnson (201-87, college: Minnesota, agency: Inception Sports) added 17 points and 9 rebounds respectively for lost side. Despite that victory Canberra Gunners went down to seventh position (League) due to points difference. Loser Bendigo Braves still keep top place with two games lost. Canberra Gunners will face higher ranked NW Tasmania Thunder (#4) in Ulverstone in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Bendigo Braves will play at home against Dandenong Rangers and hope to win that game.
