Very expected game in Crows Nest where 6th ranked Bankstown Bruins (4-5) were rolled over by top-ranked Norths Soul Sports Bears (11-0) 105-76 on Saturday. Norths Soul Sports Bears dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Bankstown Bruins' 40. They outrebounded Bankstown Bruins 54-42 including a 42-28 advantage in defensive rebounds. Norths Soul Sports Bears looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by Bankstown Bruins' players. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Norths Soul Sports Bears made 10 blocks. Guard Nick Blair (185-87) fired 29 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals for the winners. Estonian swingman Erik Dorbek (196-82) chipped in 25 points, 8 rebounds and 5 blocks.
