Not a big story in a game in Bendigo where bottom-ranked Nationals (0-8) were rolled over by fourth ranked Lady Braves (4-3) 88-61 on Saturday. Lady Braves forced 21 Nationals turnovers. Strangely Nationals outrebounded Lady Braves 46-31 including 19 on the offensive glass. International guard Kelly Wilson (170-84) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 assists for the winners and forward Keely Froling (188-96, college: SMU) chipped in 21 points and 6 rebounds. Five Lady Braves players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Abbey George with 16 points and 7 rebounds and Carlie Smith scored 10 points and 6 rebounds. Nationals' coach gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Lady Braves maintains fourth place in League with 4-3 record. Loser Nationals still closes the standings with eight games lost. Lady Braves will face league's second-placed Rangers in Dandenong in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Nationals will play against the league's leader Tornadoes (#1) and hope to get finally their first victory.
