Very expected game in Eltham where 11th ranked Wildcats (2-8) were crushed by sixth ranked Falcons (6-3) 90-55 on Sunday. Falcons dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Wildcats' 28. They outrebounded Wildcats 51-33 including a 17-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. Forward Tegan Cunningham (185-88, college: Oklahoma St.) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 13 rebounds for the winners and forward Kate Oliver (193-91, college: USC) chipped in 23 points and 6 rebounds. Falcons' coach felt very confident using 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was guard Jacqueline Kitto (174-90) with 7 points and 11 rebounds and Georgia Dale scored 13 points. Falcons moved-up to fifth place in League. Loser Wildcats keep the eleventh position with eight games lost. Falcons will face Diamond Valley Eagles (#6) in Greensborough in the next round. Wildcats will play against the league's second-placed Sharks (#2) and hope to win that game.
