Regular Season Round 10: Rockingham F. - Goldfields G. 108-100

Everything could happen in Rockingham at the game between two tied teams. Both eighth ranked Flames and 6th ranked Giants had identical 6-6 record. This time Flames used a home court advantage and won against the opponent from Kalgoorlie 108-100 on Sunday night. Flames shot 20 for 33 from the free-throw line, while Giants only scored two points from the stripe. They outrebounded Giants 63-40 including a 25-14 advantage in offensive rebounds. Giants were plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. The game was dominated by American players. Guard Taylor Land (186-86, college: St.Edward's) fired a double-double by scoring 16 points, 11 rebounds and 9 assists for the winners. Power forward Cooper Land (205-88, college: Wright St.) chipped in 26 points and 8 rebounds. Forward Jacob Holmen (202-91, college: N.Texas) produced a double-double by scoring 35 points (!!!) and 13 rebounds and swingman Kenny Manigault (196-91, college: Pikeville) added 16 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists respectively for lost side. Five Flames and four Giants players scored in double figures. Giants' coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Flames (7-6) moved-up to seventh place in League. Loser Giants dropped to the eighth position with seven games lost. Flames will face Slammers (#10) in Bunbury in the next round. Giants will play at home against Eagles and hope to win that game.
