Everything went according to plan in Gold Coast where top-ranked Maroochydore Clippers (3-0) won against 8th ranked Rollers (1-2) 107-97 on Sunday. Rollers were plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. American forward Eric McAlister (204-90, college: Stony Brook) fired 21 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. The former international guard Jorden Page (185-90, college: St.Mary's, CA) chipped in 18 points. Five Maroochydore Clippers players scored in double figures. Swingman Jackson Parr (196, college: Iowa Lakes CC) produced 17 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists and Charlton Offermans added 15 points respectively for lost side. Rollers' coach tested eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Maroochydore Clippers moved-up to second place in League. Loser Rollers dropped to the eleventh position with two games lost. Maroochydore Clippers will face Logan T. (#4) in Loganholme in the next round. Rollers will play at home against Toowoomba Mountaineers (#14) and hope to win that game.
