Oberwart upset Vienna on the road to pull ahead. The guests were tied after three quarters but managed to speed up in last quarter eventually winning the game. Vienna was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. It was an exceptional evening for American guard Chris McNealy (194-92, college: Cal-Irvine) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds. His fellow American import forward Chris Ferguson (206-89, college: Mid-Continent, agency: HMS) accounted for 14 points, 9 rebounds and 4 blocks for the winning side. Five Redwell Gunners Oberwart players scored in double figures. The former international guard Stjepan Stazic (199-78) came up with 9 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and Serbian point guard Bogic Vujosevic (189-92, agency: Octagon Europe) added 8 points and 9 assists respectively for Vienna in the defeat.
