Very important is a home loss of third ranked Bucaros (13-7) against fifth ranked Halcones (9-11) on Tuesday night. Host Bucaros were defeated by Halcones in a tough game in Bucaramanga 87-94. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Bucaros. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward R.J. McGhee (198, college: Oklahoma City, agency: CGL Sports) who helped to win the game recording 23 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals and naturalized Venezuelan swingman Hector Diaz (197-92) who added 22 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Four Halcones players scored in double figures. American Tayron Thomas (191-84, college: Philadelphia) responded with 28 points and 7 rebounds and his fellow American import guard Daniel Sapp (193, college: California, PA) scored 25 points and 4 assists. Halcones moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Sabios and Condores. Bucaros at the other side keep the third position with seven games lost. Halcones will play against Sabios (#4) in Manizales in the next round. Bucaros will play on the road against the league's second-placed Cimarrones in Quibdo-Choco and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
