Regular Season Round 36: Los Mochis - Obregon 76-82

An interesting game took place in Los Mochis where 7th ranked Pioneros Los Mochis (14-17) were upset on its own court by tenth ranked Trigueros de Ciudad Obregon (11-20) 82-76. Trigueros de Ciudad Obregon dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Pioneros Los Mochis' 44. Trigueros de Ciudad Obregon players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. The game was also dominated by American players. It was a good game for guard Geron Johnson (190-92, college: Memphis) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 9 rebounds and 11 assists. Forward Taylor Brown (198-89, college: Bradley) contributed with 25 points for the winners. Leon Gibson (206-91, college: Houston) replied with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 19 rebounds and guard Daniel Soto (196-91, college: Hope International) added 22 points in the effort for Pioneros Los Mochis. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Pioneros Los Mochis' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Newly promoted Trigueros de Ciudad Obregon maintains tenth position with 11-20 record. Pioneros Los Mochis at the other side keep the seventh place with 17 games lost. Trigueros de Ciudad Obregon will have a break next round.
