Regular Season Round 36: Mazatlan - Nogales 101-90

Second ranked Lobos UAD Mazatlan (21-13) beat at home 9th ranked Fuerza Guinda Nogales (12-21) by 11 points 101-90, which is the biggest margin this round on Tuesday night. Lobos UAD Mazatlan dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Fuerza Guinda Nogales' 28 and made 17-of-21 free shots (81.0 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a quality performance of American guard Jeff Ledbetter (190-88, college: Idaho) who helped to win the game recording 35 points (!!!) and 4 assists and the other American import point guard Curtis Stinson (191-83, college: Iowa St.) who added 14 points and 7 assists during the contest. Lobos UAD Mazatlan's coach Eric Weissling used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was Nigerian-Jamaican swingman Weyinmi Rose (196-86, college: Providence) with 25 points and American guard Brandon Provost (190-90, college: UTRGV) scored 16 points. Five Lobos UAD Mazatlan and four Fuerza Guinda Nogales players scored in double figures. Lobos UAD Mazatlan maintains second position with 21-13 record having just two points less than leader Hermosillo. Loser Fuerza Guinda Nogales keep the ninth place with 21 games lost. Lobos UAD Mazatlan will face again Fuerza Guinda Nogales (#9) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
