Lathan is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Tijuana Zonkeys players scored in double figures. At the losing side American-Jordanian swingman Jimmy Baxter (196-80, college: S.Florida) responded with 19 points and 5 rebounds and American forward Arnold Louis (201-90, college: Savannah St., agency: HMS) scored 13 points and 8 rebounds. Defending champion maintains sixth place with 17-17 record. Caballeros de Culiacan lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifth position with 14 games lost. Tijuana Zonkeys will meet at home bottom-ranked Garra Canera de Navolato (#11) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Caballeros de Culiacan will play against the league's leader Rayos de Hermosillo (#1) and hope to secure a win.
