A very interesting game took place in Los Mochis. It ended with only two-point home defeat of 8th ranked Pioneros Los Mochis (14-18) to tenth ranked Trigueros de Ciudad Obregon (12-20) 74-72 on Wednesday evening. Trigueros de Ciudad Obregon outrebounded Pioneros Los Mochis 45-26 including a 29-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. American players dominated the game. Forward Taylor Brown (198-89, college: Bradley) nailed 23 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side and forward Thomas Gipson (201-93, college: Kansas St.) accounted for 13 points and 15 rebounds. Four Trigueros de Ciudad Obregon players scored in double figures. Trigueros de Ciudad Obregon's coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Leon Gibson (206-91, college: Houston) came up with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 14 rebounds and guard Daniel Soto (196-91, college: Hope International) added 12 points respectively for Pioneros Los Mochis in the defeat. Trigueros de Ciudad Obregon have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to ninth place. Pioneros Los Mochis at the other side dropped to the seventh position with 18 games lost. Trigueros de Ciudad Obregon's next round opponent will be higher ranked Frayles de Guasave (#3) at home and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
