An interesting game for Rayos de Hermosillo (26-10) which hosted in Hermosillo 4th placed Caballeros de Culiacan (18-15). First ranked Rayos de Hermosillo managed to get a 4-point victory 75-71. It was a great evening for American forward Emmanuel Little (196-85, college: N.Dakota) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 13 rebounds. His fellow American import power forward Paul Butorac (208-83, college: E.Washington) helped adding 15 points and 6 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Little is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. The best for the losing side was the former international center Joaquin Villanueva (207-86) with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 13 rebounds and American forward Arnold Louis (201-90, college: Savannah St., agency: HMS) scored 14 points and 6 rebounds. Four Caballeros de Culiacan players scored in double figures. Rayos de Hermosillo maintains first place with 26-10 record. Caballeros de Culiacan at the other side dropped to the fifth position with 15 games lost. Rayos de Hermosillo will play against bottom-ranked Garra Canera de Navolato (#11) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Caballeros de Culiacan will play against Vaqueros (#7) in Agua Prieta and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
