The game between Top Four teams took place in Quibdo-Choco. Second ranked host Cimarrones (16-6) defeated one of their biggest challengers Bucaros (13-9) 77-60. Cimarrones looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. American guard Brandon Sperling (196-90, college: Humboldt St.) scored 13 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import guard Deandre Haskins (193-88, college: Chaminade) chipped in 18 points during the contest. Sperling is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Cimarrones players scored in double figures. At the losing side guard Daniel Sapp (193, college: California, PA) responded with 23 points and 9 rebounds and international swingman Michael Jackson (197-87) scored 8 points and 8 rebounds. Cimarrones have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 16-6 record having just three points less than leader Academia. Bucaros lost third consecutive game. They keep the third place with nine games lost. Cimarrones are looking forward to face Sabios (#4) in Manizales in the next round. Bucaros will play at home against Piratas and are hoping to prove to their fans that they can break losing series.
