Regular Season Round 34: Valencia - Andorra 81-67

Not a big story in a game when 12th ranked Andorra (12-22) was defeated on the road by third ranked Valencia Basket (28-6) 81-67 on Sunday. The hosts trailed by 5 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 6-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 81-67. Central African swingman Romain Sato (195-81, college: Xavier) scored 13 points and 8 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Montenegrin Bojan Dubljevic (205-91, agency: Beo Basket) chipped in 15 points during the contest. At the losing side Georgian center Giorgi Shermadini (216-89) responded with 12 points and 8 rebounds and Serbian forward Luka Bogdanovic (210-85) scored 14 points and 6 rebounds. Five Valencia Basket and four Andorra players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Valencia Basket maintains third position with 28-6 record behind leader FC Barcelona. Andorra lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the fourteenth place with 22 games lost.
