Second Stage Round 3: Myrtia - Cordoba 59-58

Myrtia held off Cordoba to finish the stage on a winning note. A very close game took place in Murcia between Myrtia and Cordoba. Myrtia (2-1) got a very close home victory over Cordoba (0-3). Myrtia managed to escape with a 1-point win 59-58 on Sunday evening. The hosts trailed by 2 points after three quarters before their 13-10 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Myrtia forced 20 Cordoba turnovers. The best player for the winners was forward Jorge Lledo (203-80) who had a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds. Guard Pepe Llorente (185-82) chipped in 11 points. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Jose Medina (185-93) who recorded 17 points and 5 rebounds and point guard Carlos Garcia (178-98) added 13 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Cordoba's coach Rafael Sanz rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help.
